2. What is ERP? - Definition, example

- process used by companies to manage and integrate the important parts of their businesses. 

- software and systems used to plan and manage all the core supply chain, manufacturing, services, financial and other processes of an organization

- used to automate and simplify individual activities across a business or organization, such as accounting and procurement, project management, customer relationship management, risk management, compliance and supply chain operations. 

Ex: product lifecycle management, supply chain management (for example purchasing, manufacturing and distribution), warehouse management, customer relationship management (CRM), sales order processing, online sales, financials, human resources, and decision support system.
