In a tropical rainforest rain falls for most of the year. In fact there is no0 dry season present in a Tropical Rainforest. Tropical rainforests have tall trees that create different environments on different heights on the tree. At the top of the trees is the emergent layer. There is lots of sun up here and less animals due to high winds in the tree. Some of the trees include the Brazil nut tree and the kapok tree. There are birds and small creatures who live at this level. Lower down is the canopy level which is home to warm wet conditions which is home to lots of animals including parrots and toucans. The next level is the understory level which is darker and more humid. It is home to many different species of plants. The final layer of the environment is the forest floor which is home to decomposers and is filled with fallen and decomposing leaves. The tropical rainforests have been effected by water which is an abiotic factor.
Humans have affected the environment by cutting down the trees and buying forests. This has affected many rainforests and has killed off many species. Tropical rainforests are at a high risk for human destruction. One fun fact is that tropical rainforests cover less than 3% of Earth's area, yet they are home to more than half our planet's terrestrial animal species.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knx7RYNM2m4

The tundra is the coldest biome. It is considered a treeless desert found in polar regions. The tundra has few nutrients to support plant and animal life. Some animals that can be found in this biome are brown bears, polar bears and many species of foxes. Some plants that can be found are arctic moss', pasque flowers and bearberry. Climate change has taken a toll on this biome. The dry tundra regions are threatened by warming from climate change Animals from other biomes have moved into the tundra and now compete with the native life there, and melting permafrost has resulted in similar changes among plants.

Grasslands are wide, open, flat areas of grass. They are often exploited for agricultural use. Tropical grasslands have dry and wet seasons that remain warm all the time. Temperate grasslands have cold winters and warm summers with some rain. Grasslands do not receive enough rainfall to grow trees like a forest but they contain lots of grass so they receive more rain than a desert. Elephants, bison, lions, rabbits, gophers, birds, and lizards live in grasslands. There are rarely trees and shrubs in grasslands. There is mostly grass. There are many fires in grasslands.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0FtiZUO9Kg

The taiga is a forest. It is a cold and subarctic region. The taiga lies between the tundra to the north and temperate forests to the south. The taiga biome is also known as coniferous forest. Animals found in this biome are oxes, lynxes, bears, minks, squirrels, grey wolves and their preys: caribou, reindeers and moose. Some plants that could be found are pines, larches and firs. Humans have an impact on this biome such as deforestation. Cutting down trees are taking away habitats for the animals that live in this biome. A weather impact would be acid rain which is also causing problems in the taiga. https://youtu.be/OUmHWrF8MnY

The Temperate forests cover 25% of the world. It lies between the tropical and boreal zones and is second only to the boreal forest in size. Temperate forest are split into two types, deciduous and evergreen. An evergreen tree keeps its leaves year round while a deciduous tree sheds its leaves annually. They are found in places with warm moist summers and cold frosty winters. Some organisms found in the temperate forests include magnolia, sweet gum and hickory trees. Animals are diverse and range from the owl to the koala to the monkey. The temperature effects the environment because it changes the leaves by stopping photosynthesis. Humans have cut down forests and destroyed habitats to create more space. An interesting fact about temperate forests is that many people in the United States flock to the forests to see the leaves change with the seasons in the fall.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7oCiG8Yd6Y

Deserts are barren area of landscape where little precipitation occurs and, consequently, living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life. The temperature varies often Cacti is most present in desert. There are also desert trees, grasses, and shrubs in the desert. There are often droughts. A desert receives less than 10 inches of rain a year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdFkC6Gtb5A
