Macbeth Film Analysis: Period 7 by Ayah Wattar

Each group will be assigned one thematic topic. As a group, brainstorm potential messages (themes) this play adaptation conveys to its audience. Then, support your conclusions with at least three film choices you observed. Be specific and describe them! Example: Fate: Fate is always motivating one's actions. Film Choice: When Macbeth and Lady Macbeth decide to take evil actions, the camera zooms up to the black night sky and stars above them (symbols of fate), such as when Lady Macbeth lights Macbeth's letter on fire and it flies upwards into the sky.

This image connects to supernatural forces. The director used the film choice of props by turning the witches into crows. Another film choice that the director used was acting. We can see the way Macbeth is ducking as if he is afraid which connects to this overall idea of supernatural forces being scary.
