Why did the monster choose to tell the first story to conor?I think the monster told that story because he wanted conor to know that people can be many things but they might not be what you expect. He picked this story to tell because the queen was accused of bring a murderer when she was not. So when you are wrongly accused of something even though that person may be bad it's worth saving someone who hasn't done wrong yet. Like referring to his grandma I think. She can be many things but she isn't all that bad and he shouldn't accuse her.

Why did conors grandma react the way she did when she found out her living room was destroyed by conor? I think she reacted the way she did because conor is going through a hard time right now so she didn't want to yell at him. She also pushed over the book shelf because she was so overwhelmed with things she just didn't know how else to handle it. I think she did the right thing to not yell at him and leave the room because maybe she thought he was reacting to his father coming or his mother being sick. Maybe in the morning she will speak to him about whats going on.

Conor is going through a tough time right now and most of the people are understanding. The teachers treat him different and don't punish him for anything. All conor really wants is to get punished for something no one knows he did. He is going through a lot right now and needs a friend. What even happened in the nightmare? I wonder if he will tell us after the third tale.

How does each tale reflect conor's experience. Well the first tale about the witch who was a bad witch but not as bad as she seemed and was also kinda good well i think that was reflecting towards conors grandma. He didn't like being with her because she was mean and different. But in the end she was a loving grandma and when it mattered she was there for conor. The second story with the parson and the apothecary was about his father. And how he did love conor like the parson loved his daughters but left conor and his mom. He started a new family. And when conor needs him the most hes only there for a few days. The third and final tale was about conor and how he wanted to be punished. The invisible man how he made himself more invisible when he was seen. That's what conor did he shut everyone out because he was mad at everyone and was going through a tough time. All of these stories tie together how conor would act in a situation and why he is how he is.
