There is proof that Jesus is a real person. The Dead Sea scrolls that date back to 150 B.C. prophesy about Jesus and describes his image, despised and rejected. Isiah 53 (which dates back to 125 B.C.) states that He will be stricken and smitten by God. Although it doesn't clarify if they are talking about Jesus.

The rest of the remains that were found at an ancient monastery in the Black Sea were a skull, jaw, arm, and a tooth. It was in this village that Jesus performed various miracles, according to the book of Luke in the Bible (including healing a centurion's servant), and the ruins of such said temple in which some miracles were performed in, have been found to some degree. As well as what is thought to have been the house of Peter, one of Jesus' twelve disciples. These archeological findings support the validity of these events transpired in Capernaum. And even if they don't, at least the validity of the village known as Capernaum is confirmed.
The historian Flavius Josephus was reported being in the village of Capernaum when hurt during a battle. Flavius was a known historian in the Roman Empire who had defected towards them after being captured. The archeological findings were made by archeologists associated with Greek Orthodox Church.
