I am thinking about a small place I go to when waiting for
my son to finish work, it is at the back of the Hospital and has a wooded area,
and some large playing fields for children in the area, but down a quiet track
there is a parking area where all the dog walkers can take their cars to safely
walk their dogs.

At certain times of the day it is very quiet there and you can be alone with nature all around you, but then at others there is the yapping and yelping of a myriad of different dogs of all sizes and colours, and their ‘people’ all arrive to do their duty to their dogs, it can be chaotic, but there is also a strong sense of a community, they all chat and wander along sometimes together and sometimes in different directions around or through the wood. But I love it there when they have all gone, and all you can hear is the distant noise of dogs and conversations among the owners of all ages and all abilities and their attentive little lapdogs and the thunder of the big and bouncy dogs circling and herding them along.

Then I can sit alone with the sound of the ducks on the pond, and the arrival of a crow or woodpigeon sipping from a puddle, and in the far distance you can hear the hum of the roads and the city, but all that is close is the rustle of leaves and the lapping of water, and the feeling of a gentle breeze on your face, and the smell of earth and grass and of the season whichever it may be. rue}}^`F2l
