         <title>George Washington&#39;s role in the Revolutionary War</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>George Washington was the General and Commander in chief of the continental army and played the leading military role in the American Revolution.&nbsp; He wasn’t the best leader on the battlefield, but had the ability to keep the struggling colonial army together.&nbsp; They were often without food, clothing or ammunition, but he was able to keep them motivated.&nbsp; The battle of VAlley Forge was a major turning point.&nbsp; It was where he transformed a battered Continental Army into a “unified, world-class fighting force” capable of beating the British.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
