This allowed us to reach a wider audience compared to just our primary audience of local people. This platform made it easily accessible, as we were able to share links and hash tags on our different social media platforms using cross media convergence. For example, we put links to our Facebook Page onto our twitter page and vies versa as well as the link to our Sweed video. When distributing our film we did it independently as we were not part of any major distributers. This meant we had complete control over how and when the film was distributed out to the public. 
As part of our marketing campaign we used digital technology such as the Macs where we used software like Photoshop to create a poster that we distributed around the sixth form area to reach our local audience of teenagers 14+. Before we advertised our trailer we planned in advance which would be most effective with reaching our audience this is why we chose the posters and social media sites. When planning methods of how to distibute the speed we had people from our local audience that viewed our sweed and then gave us instant feedback on how to improve the video.

This would mean students of the ages 12 -18. 
Why?  - Our local audience would choose to watch this swede, as it is produced by friends/friend of friends. But also as it is a horror which would entice the audience.
Who are the distributors? The distributors of our swede are Bridget, Ulani, Macenzie, Sandra and I. This is because we are independent distributor.
Digital Technology? We unfortunately didn't as the distributors have a studio to film our swede. Instead we used our school studio using different cameras. 
For our swede, we used a Sony Edge camera. This is because we could get the most accurate version of our sweed possible. We also used an iPhone 7 camera for a few clips.

Planning the release?  For our release, we used cross media convergence to get the attention of our local audience. This is because our target audience use a lot of social media which meant it was perfect to get loads of views on our swede.
How was the swede released? Our swede was using digital technology and cross media convergence. This because we released it through youtube, and shared it through Facebook, instagram and twitter.

This is important as it can help us decide which media platforms we can use to help distribute our swede to our target audience. The target audience we decided to 13-17 year olds. We found that this is an easy audience for us to target as our ages are part of the range, so it’s easier for us to know what appeals. This helped us to decide that we should use social media, as it appeals to the younger audience.

To build awareness and interest in the film we used Facebook and twitter pages to target our audience and post countdown posts and pictures of editing clips and post teasers. By inviting friends and family to like our pages also shared the interest as it sent notifications as to when our swede came out in order to get the most amount of views.
