Along with William Holman Hunt and John Everett Millais, Dante Rossetti founded the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. A group of like minded English painters, poets, and art critics, with whom had the intentions of reforming art by making the mechanistic form of art extinct. The dominating opinion of the brotherhood was that classical elegance was obscured and corrupting academic artistic pieces.
