The beginning of Artistry

Before going to school I had a wide variety of opportunities to practice artistry. I was in many different art classes growing up. Later I was able to work on some communal murals for some spaces in the area. This formed a lot of my love around art and what it can do and the environments it can create with just a little extra color!

Artistry in School

During my time at the University I was able to build my practice in ceramics and different mediums. I later got the opportunity to shadow in some art classes which better established my love for kids and teaching. I then began to take many courses within education and practicing art at the same time.

This is a photo of me with my youth students for my church, which has also given me many opportunities to work alongside kids! I hope to one day work with kids and being able to use art to connect better to kids. I am working towards getting my teaching certificate because I was unable to get a degree in Art Education. I love being around kids and creating environments to support and empower students to do the best they can do.
