Eric Miller states in his argumentative essay, "Texting and chatting are new. It allows people all over the world to interact and bond easily and freely. My teenage son regularly chats with people all over the world when playing video games." Miller's statement proves my point even farther by experiencing his son go through the amazing connections that technology brings to the table.
https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2017/02/28/how-technology-can-bring-people-together-and.html

"Because of new technology that allows communication and connection between people in the gaming world especially, gamers now have an enormous social support group that they can belong to almost immediately."
https://www.techprevue.com/ways-technology-bringing-people-together/

"Telecommunication technologies help reduce the cost of doing business. Paperless offices in which email messages are the primary mode of communication cut the cost of purchasing paper, printing, disposing and recycling." This quote strengthens my claim by showing the extreme benefit of saving money. The less money spent will cause the company or business to be up and running with fewer financial troubles, thus causing everyone to be content.
https://classroom.synonym.com/advantages-telecommunication-business-8422852.html

A poll was taken to show the effectiveness of technology on whether technology brings people together or tears people apart. "This practice extends to children, too. Forty-two percent of parents with children ages 7 to 17 call their sons and daughters once a day or more on a cell phone, 35 percent keep in touch on a landline and 7 percent communicate by text, according to the poll." This quote from "The Spokesman-Review" proves my point even further that families use it to communicate with family. For example; if a family member was in the military, one easy way to communicate is through technology. The heartwarming feeling of a response from the deployed family member is one of the main points of my claim.
http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2008/oct/21/technology-brings-many-families-closer-survey-says/

In the novel Fahrenheit 451, the main character, Guy Montag, says, "No. Houses have always been fireproof, take my word for it." This quote relates back to my original claim of technology bringing people together by Montag describing the technology of houses keeping people inside them safe. As part of the counterargument/claim Clarisse says, "Strange. I heard once that a long time ago houses used to burn by accident...". This quote proves both my claim and the counterclaim at once. It supports my claim in that technology improves living conditions as much as possible. This quote by Clarisse supports the counterclaim in that technology has its flaws and can cause some conflicts/problems
