Week 1 Beauty

At the cult of beauty exhibition, I saw this work of art called, (almost) all my dead mothers belongings by Narcissister. I was really connected to this piece, and I decided to make my board as a reaction to this. I though about if I died what would be left of me, what beloved belongings would my loved ones find and cherish. So I photographed some of my Favorite Possessions and created a collage that I believe represents who I am and my style and my life legacy. I used objects that I hope to pass down to my children and then there’s like my Nan has done for me.

REF: https://wellcomecollection.org/exhibitions/ZJ1zCxAAACMAczPA

Week 2 Trend

For this idea I thought I would look at what was happening a hundred years ago in woman’s fashion. Imagine 1924 is the new 2024. My concept was to take clothing form 1924-1934 and put them on 21st century woman and play around with how that might look and work in todays environment. I think that fashion from this era is so classy and chic that it could easily been worn in the upcoming

Decade, especially with the fashion industry becoming more unique and individual and we are trying to move away from fast fashion and timeless pieces from the 1920s are a perfect replacement. I personally would love to see people dressing like this nowadays.

REF: https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/1920s-clothing-fashion

Week 3 Collaboration

My dream collaboration would be Uniqlo X Issey Miyake. Uniqlo is know for the basics and layering items and Issey is know for there iconic pleats and and interesting silhouettes. I though this would be the perfect collaboration, so I created a basic shapeless dress with the iconic pleats and made a matching basic pleated tote bag. This would appeal to both Uniqlo's audience and Isseys and I belive this would be a timeless collab that’s very versatile and can be worn in a multitude of ways.

REF: https://www.artsandcollections.com/article/issey-miyakes-pleats-please-collection/

Week 5 Campaign

I created a two-page spread ad campaign for my knitwear brand Jacques. I wanted to create something that catches and leads the eye without it being too busy and overwhelming. I wanted something simple and sweet that would show my hand made knitwear without being too literal.

I liked the idea of not showing one particular product as most of my work are one off Bespoke pieces, I want to show that I use quality materials to bring the customers vision to life.

REF: https://issuu.com/blog/better-magazine-spread-design
