         <description><![CDATA[<p>“Nicholson possibly constructed it from surplus millitary uniforms belonging to her family members.”</p><p>Obviously, this quilt was embroidered with square which formed by stripes, displaying the beauty of symmetry. However, after looking carefully the surface of that quilt, the difference of colors can be noticed. That "differences" cause the quilt not perfectly symmetrical. From the explanation, I knew that is because the shortage of the raw material. I was shocked that this brilliant artifact was made in that kind of situation.  </p>]]></description>

With the picture of "sleeping car", "man of color" and "Oakland's Pullman Porters", this quilt record the history of "pullman porter", giving us a real and immersive historical lesson . </p>]]></description>
