The definition of Human Trafficking is “the action or practice of illegally transporting people from one country or area to another, typically for the purposes of forced labour or commercial sexual exploitation.”

Despite the efforts of trying to end Human Trafficking, it continues to occur. Human Trafficking occurs a lot in third worl countries.

Could globalization be the reason why it continues to happen?

Researchers have discovered that advances in technology, thanks to globalization, is continuing to cause modern day slavery ( human trafficking)

Just like cyber- crime criminals, human traffickers make sure they stay ahaed of the law, so they will get arrested.

As a result of the underground nature of their trade, traffickers often manage to stay one step ahead of law enforcement. Heretofore, globalization has largely facilitated human trafficking while accordingly serving to impede counter-trafficking efforts. State-centered approaches to combat trafficking are proving obsolete and futile since human trafficking knows no state boundaries.” (Brewer, 2009)

http://criminaljusticelaw.

org/philosophy/globalization-and-criminal-justice/is-globalization-the-cause-for-increases-in-human-trafficking/

Identity Theft has not always been a crime. It did not become a crime until 1998, because there were so many reports about people having there identity stolen. Numerous of people were experiencing identity theft. The numbers has only increased over the years.
Globalism affects identity theft because it exposes peoples personal information such as someones social security number. Another popular example is Phishing.Phishing is is a “scam where Internet fraudsters send spam or pop-up messages to lure personal and financial information from unsuspecting victims”.
It seems though, that regardless of the potential risk, people still answer emails and use their personal information to respond to inquiries sent from unreliable sources.

In 2000 the number of reported cases was 31,000 while in 2008 that number spiked to over 313,000. One of the main reasons for this is the spread of the internet not only in the US but throughout the world. The term Globalization is often used to describe this spread of technology. It enhances not only communication but also allows such a thing as small businesses to able to have a much broader clientele base.
https://rjf2120.wordpress.com/2009/12/05/identity-theft-and-globalization/

Drugs has always been a constant worry in America. Currently there is a major opioid crisis going on right now.

There are so many factors behind the globalization of drugs, especially in different countries.

One of the main ways in which globalization impacts the European drug markets is by increasing the diversity and intensity of flows of people and goods in and out of Europe.
Many of the plant-based drugs and chemicals supplied to European markets are produced outside Europe and must be smuggled into the region, while some drugs and precursor chemicals are produced in the EU and supplied to other regions of the world.

Since 2006, the rate of cocaine use in the United States has decreased by 40 percent, and cocaine shipments have increased significantly to expanding markets in Africa, Spain and the European Union. We should recognize that every country has a drug problem, and that only by using a balanced strategy of prevention, treatment and law enforcement will we be successful in further reducing this problem.GIL KERLIKOWSKE
Director, Office of National Drug Control Policy
Washington, Feb. 25, 2014

The only way that the drug epidemic will, potentially stop, is if America admits to the problem and take actions to stop it, that will cause a lot of people to lose out on money. Which is why, drugs will continue to be an issue, because of greed.

Similar to Identity Theft, Money Laundering is also a very serious issue.
The way the Internet has grown, it has allowed people to send money anywhere in the world at any time.
Rapid developments in financial information, technology and communication has made the process of transferring money easy.
Auhtorities say that this makes the task of combating money-laundering more urgent than ever.
The deeper "dirty money" gets into the international banking system, the more difficult it is to identify its origin. It is difficult to estimate the total amount of money that goes through the laundry cycle.
What causes it to be so difficult for the authorities to track, criminals who are money laudering is because it is difficult to track who, and where they getting money from.
https://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/money-laundering/globalization.html
