He also taught the students the basic of navigating around a digital mixing console.

Reflections
This activity benefitted the students by learning hands on experience on how a digital console works and how is it different from analog boards. 
An area of improvement would be to explain to them more of the console concepts like the graphics EQs and built in effects.

He demonstrated and explained elementary concepts of mixing such as balance, EQ, compression, and reverb. 

Reflection
It was a wonderful experience teaching the students at ITE college west. I hope that our little workshop has managed to spark some sort of interest or passion for the sound industry, whether it be studio or live. One challenge we faced was in how we approached the delivery of information. He taught the students the importance of being able to get the perfect sound, right from the source.

Reflection:

This activity taught the students the importance of spending more time to get the perfect sound from the source, instead of " fixing it in the mixing stage ". I feel that this will allow them to be more precise and meticulous with their work. 
During the session there were times where i felt that I had difficulty describing certain words and processes to them because these students have very little background in audio terminologies, in which may seem common to us engineers.
