What led to this situation was the local client requesting that the media campaign we were planning worked in tandem with HQ's strategy as opposed to both teams competing with each other for success.

The main hurdle we faced was their initial strategy was very similar to what we had proposed to the local client. As such, we required focusing on recommending an alternative strategy to HQ.

Locally, the team and I had collaborated with other SBUs within the media agency to navigate through the changes we were facing. We addressed this challenge by providing various ways the HQ marketing team could target audiences within Australia as to not steal the spotlight away from our local planned campaign.

Overall, both HQs activity and the local activity we had planned worked successfully in achieving on their business and marketing goals.

When I arrived at that station, the bar-bell was of a weight higher my usual standard. However for efficiency I used that weight anyway, only to struggle lifting it over my head while losing proper form. 

After the session my back started to hurt and I've learned my lesson: it's important to know my limits, and it's not worth it to sacrifice quality over efficiency.

Now I have to pay the price by having pain in my back throughout the day, and have to make a note to myself to be patient and grab another weight that suits me next time:)

The match was exhilarating with Sydney FC going down 1-0 in the 18th minute and were pummeled for the remainder of the 1st half. The defenders put in a shift to ensure the deficit wasn't extended by 2 goals.

The manager made 2 crucial changes which allowed the midfield and defenders to push up with attackers and push back the Brisbane Roar players.

The comeback started in the 67th minute, with the new brazillian striker coming off the bench to bag in a critical goal 5 minutes after coming on. Then a quick fire double alllowed Sydney FC to finish their comeback with the final goal coming in the 90th minute to seal the cup win.

The hero in this instance is a person who has the ability to overcome tragedy and come forth a better person.

This close friend was faced with an overload of work and personal related issues that pushed them beyond their limits. Before things got out of hand, they had noticed the changes that have happened and made the changes to positively impact his life.

They were brave enough to speak up about their worklife balance and explain that they required a break before things became tougher. They then utilised that time to get back into fitness and spent more time away from their desk to re-claim life to what it once was for them.

This was a big inspiration to me and I'm excited to see where this person goes next.

During this session, I had the opportunity to showcase to key stakeholders within the business how best to collaborate on Australian media campaigns.

This was done by educating these individuals on how to read media plans, what the media landscape in AU is currently and how best to work with us in the future when booking in specific media channels.

This was a very beneficial session for both parties as it allowed me to showcase my presentation skills but to also educate these individuals to allow for a smooth collaboration next time.
