I found this flower lying next to the trash can, half of it had wilted while the other half was still brightly colored. It was a visual experiment with a rose which Inspired by the Japanese photographer  Nobuyoshi  Araki. He has finished a lot of photographic artworks with flowers around different themes of sex, love, living, and death.

He empowered unique visual effects for each flower under his lens，made efforts to normalize these visual shocks，and provoked the audience to reflect on the inner sentiment behind these glowing colors.

I decided to photographed a rose with different angels and focal lengths in order to express the theme of love. I picked this photo as a part of the collection at the end.

This photo came from a lighting exercise I did.

When I moved the light source, I was impressed by the different poses of shadows on the wall.

The shadow in the above photo is like the side of a lady's face, quiet, shy, elegantly thinking and gazing.

This made me realize how important the use of light is in photography. It is not only reflected in the visual effect, but also adds to the power of emotional expression and transmission.

A hiking experience led me to photograph the trees in this scene. On either side of the picture are trees that are taller than the middle trees.

Standing higher than the middle tree, it was as if I was looking at the woods on the same level as the taller trees.

The dense woods were enough for me to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind for a while, to blend in and feel the peace.

This is a photo taken during the climbing process. Unlike Tree 1，behind this photo, I was standing on a hill above many buildings，observing the area of human life further out of sight through the trees in front of me.

It is as if I am making an emotional connection with nature to examine human life and boundaries.

Inspired by the British photographer Michael Kenna，Who has the ability to reduce the most complicated to the minimal, and is good at applying abstract lines and graphics to black and white contrast. Many of his works possess an oriental Zen charm，such as Temple Tree, Bamboo Leaves and Garden Wall, Tangyue Arches

I tried to photograph the simple combination of tree and sky, as they are always complement each other. 

Through looking up at the scene, i observed nature with an humble posture.

I observed and photographed this tree through the balcony of the cafe one afternoon.

The tree is well integrated with the surrounding vintage buildings, making me realize that nature is all around us and it quietly blossoms into its charm. Enjoying nature is just a matter of looking out of the window from time to time

Since childhood, the sea has always had wonderful magic for me, looking at the sea fluctuating with the wind, feeling the sea breeze caressing my face, listening to the beautiful music of the waves lapping. It seems that the sea can accommodate everything, I can stay at the beach all day, no matter how emotional will be healed by it.

After viewing the series of Seascape from Hiroshi Sugimoto，I was resonated by the philosophical meaning behind them.

His defocus and time-lapse photography seems to be a kind of storage scale for space and time, which also inspires me to explore how to balance photographic techniques and the subjects expressed.

Nature has always had a healing effect on me. When I took this photo, it was the day before I was to say goodbye to a good friend who was leaving to study in Japan. We went to the park together and sat on the bank of the river, chatting and enjoying the natural scenery and looking forward to the future. This photo is my initial black-and-white photography’s practice and have inspired me to discover deeper.

Standing on the river bank, looking towards the clouds and sunset in the sky, the wire symbols belonging to the human area with the woods below make up the important elements of the picture.

If you look closely, you will see many similarities between several photographs in the collection about the mountain. Through the window of my room, I have a view of this mountain range. I would always like to sit in front of the window from time to time and observe the state of this mountain in different weather. Then I explore the different framing ranges through the camera, trying to understand the subtleties of the diverse combinations of details.

In this photograph, a balance seems to be achieved among the mountains in the forefront, the mountains in the middle and the thick clouds behind them, and finally the sky arranged layer by layer.

With this in mind, the first subjects he thought of photographing were Mount Fuji and Nachi Falls in Japan, and as he climbed to the top of Mount Fuji in preparation for the shoot, he discovered that the mountains and rivers had actually changed dramatically over millions of years.

And the only thing that hadn't changed was the sea.
