Today i had created a mind map with Ben on what it takes to create a successful e-book. We added points about the requirements needed answer the brief and also different themes that could be used to create a e-book for children. Today I had also typed out the project proposal for the animated e-book. once i had finished that I started to create a cartoon background within photo shop of a iceberg landscape. I had learnt how to use photo shop to edit images and add colour to selected shapes. I had also learnt how to add layers on photo shop so i am able to make shapes based on the background. I had developed my photo shop skills using photo shop to create a background image of an iceberg landscape. i need to improve on my photo shop image so i can finish creating the background and the shapes. the problems i had found were due to photo shop and not knowing how to add layers on the image so i could edit and overlap the background. i had found the solution by watching the tutorial video. i need to finish the background editing and split the work up between me and my partner so we know what we can focus on and start creating the e-book

Today I had done some market research on existing e-books to see what was popular and to see how they had managed to stay memorable. also that the market research had given me inspiration for what I will be able to use for my e-book to make it more appealing to my target audience. I did have a few visual problems when I was photo-shopping such as trying to get textures to fit and colouring in the whole image.

Today I decided to continue with my Unit 5&6 evaluation so I can have it complete as quick as possible. I had managed to complete a majority of the questions for the evaluation. By doing this I am now able to spend my next lesson catching up with the work I have missed.

By creating this mood board it has given me ideas on what I could base my E-book around. From what you can see on my mood board i could base my characters around animals/ insects as a lot of children's stories have their character be animals or insects. Also from my mood board I am able to think about setting my theme around things such as adventure or basing the e-book around a seasonal holiday such as Christmas.
