-Reflection of the reading:
In Colombia the valentine's day or day of love and friendship is celebrated in september. Currently it is celebrated with the exchange of love cards with symbols such as the shape of a heart or cupid, although with the rise of the internet the custom of exchanging virtual postcards has spread.
For example, the red rose symbolises love, the white rose symbolises peace and the yellow rose symbolises friendship. It is also a tradition to give roses or gifts that represent love.
However, like most holidays, Valentine's Day has become commercialised and many now consider it to be a holiday organised by shops and department stores. In reality the gift of roses is customary between engaged couples, friends and family and the colour of the rose determines the message expressed.

1.
