We know that this is written as 6 groups of 8. The first thing we did was make 6 circles. Then we put 4 number 2’s in each circle. We put 2s in each circle because it is easier to count. Next we counted up all the 2s and got a product of 48 campers. Overall, we used equal groups as our strategy. We made our strategy effective by using 2s to count.
