The call to adventure was when Marvin lost his son to a fisherman and had to travel the long ocean to go find him.

Marvin’s mentors concluded of Dory who he met chasing the fishing boat, a stubborn pelican, and some turtles who gave him a ride on the current.

Marvin’s “biggest” enemy was Bruce the Great White Shark. He threatened Marvin to eat him, but then realizes “fish are friends not food”.

The crossing the threshold moment was when Marvin crossed over the coral reef to the “great beyond” to go after the fishing boat with his son.

The normal world for Marvin was his coral reef which is based off the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

Marvins trials and errors were getting lost with Dory in the ocean over and over again almost giving up, but losing his son gave him motivation to keep looking.

Marvin learned many new skills such as how to be around people more since he was always alone, and maybe even learned how to love again with dory after the death of his wife.

Over the coarse of the movie Marvin gets many gifts including Dory, the turtles letting him travel the current, and most important, his son.

Marvin’s revelation is when he’s been searching for his son in the fast ocean and finds where his son is being held
