         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Defining the work is important. </strong><br>We want to put this in place so that it is easily implemented, integrated, seamless with what they already do. Not another thing they have to worry about. <br><strong>Teacher leadership.</strong> We want to share across the districts what they already do - leverage the good work and how it fits with formative assessment. <br><strong>We want teachers to learn what to do with the data</strong> - focus the PD on the components of formative assessments - the next steps - student growth and teacher growth in instruction. <br><strong>PreK-K alignment and child development is important to us</strong>. Our partnerships help facilitate this - adding additional PreKs. Catawba Valley Foundation as a partner. We will utilize our teams and partners.&nbsp;What is our data telling us about what kids know when they enter kindergarten? How can we prepare our schools for kids and better serve our PreK population?<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
