This molecule is then placed into a host and then it produces a combination of these species. rDNA is useful to not only the medicine industry but also the food and agriculture industry. It increases the resistance of pests to plants. This process is important because it allows traits from other organisms to be inserted into other organisms. 
            rDNA is made by taking a circular amount of DNA and picking a gene. Then a restriction enzyme cuts the DNA strand and the gene is placed where the DNA was cut. 
            Some people are against rDNA because they think that we are playing God. We are literally taking traits from other species and combining them. There is also a possibility that parents can pick their traits for their children.
