The plot is that the world is ending in 5 different ways at different times. Each time its trying to wipe out humanity. I love action books so that really made me like it even more. I also love books where the world is ending and the people are trying to survive through it all. Some of my predictions are that Cassie the main character and her brother are going to go through a lot to survive through the hard times. But, I also feel that Cassie will be strong for her brother so he can also get through it. I really like this book so far it. It has a very good plot and I thought that Rick Yancey wrote the beginning as a clinger. The beginning was the thing that pulled me more into the book because it starts off in the middle of the book. So you wanna keep reading to see what happened before and after that. Ive actually never seen the movie before so after the book I was going to go see it to compare them. So I decided to read Paper Towns and do far its a really good book. The main character in the book is Quentin Jacob and he's a band geek was has a major crush on Margo Ruth Spiegelmen. He only has like two friends because they grew up together but never really fit in. So far in the book Q (Quentin) is trying to always get Margo's attention but always fails. He's not very attractive because all the girls he tries asking to prom keep turning him down. His friends Ben and Radar are losers as well. But Radar does have a girlfriend. But the reason Ben doesn't have a girlfriend is because of the bloody Ben story. Bacically he was having surgery for his kidney but some girl made a rumor that he almost bleed to death in his private part. Yikes thats bad. Where I ended the book is when Margo comes into Q's house and ask for his car. When he says yes she tells him that they are going to pull an all nighter and get revenge. Im not sure on who yet. But he is really happy that he gets to spend time with her. I wonder who they are going to get revenge on? I know for a fact its non of of Q's friends. When Q ask her what she's going to do she says that she has 9 things she needs to do. So they go to the store to buy the stuff she needs at this point Q is very confused. But he does find out that Margo and her boyfriend broke up. The first thing they end up doing is going to Jace's house her ex boyfriend and Margo uses a bar to lock his steering wheel. Q is feeling endless happiness right now. He never thought he would be doing this with Margo. The next thing they do is Q calls Becca's dad to tell him that Jace and Becca are hooking up in the basement. The third thing they do is snap a picture of Jace in his boxers. Because he ran out of Becca's house. Q and Margo took all of Jaces clothes too. The forth thing they did was put a dead catfish and Becca's room to symbolize their friendship. Then the fifth thing they did was wrap Lacey's car and put a catfish in it too. The sixth thing that happens is they go to Chucks house and decide to wax off his eyebrows. Q is more than happy to do it because Chuck always picked on him. The seventh thing that they did is put vaseline on his door knob so he couldn't get out of the room. Q is very anxious about why they are going to downtown at 2:30am. But he doesn’t think about it too much because he is with Margo the so called “love of his life.” So he’s really happy right now. Margo is feeling reckless right now and she wants to just let go and have some fun. She doesn’t let anything get to her. They get to the building and Q doesn’t want to go in because he doesn’t want to break in and get arrested. So he’s really nervous but Margo calms him and reminds of all the things that he’s done that were bad. So Q feels pretty bad about himself when Margo is saying what happened. I know that Q doesn’t regret going on the adventures with Margo because he lives her and wants to spend all the time in the world with her. When they reach the top of the building they look out at the city and realize that they are so small compared to it. There music playing in the background so they decide to dance. Q is not a very goo dancer. I think that he likes Margo for her personality and her bueaty. Right now I do not think Margo likes Q as a boyfriend I think she likes him as a friends. Q of course has feelings for Margo but he thinks that he’s never going to get her at the moment even through the night they spent together. The setting right now is at sea world. Q did not wanna go because he doesn't want to get in trouble and loose his chances for college but Margo convinced him that this would probably be like the only cool that he would ever do. I was thinking its 4:00am and they have school tomorrow. Like they need to go sleep. But Margo is an adventurous girl and probably has stayed up 24 hours before. When they break in they had to jump in a pool for one of the aquatic animals. With out hesitation Margo jumps in but of course Q is very scared that they are going to get caught. He is not really a brave person like Margo. I feel like Q is getting pushed around by Margo but I think he wants to get to know her more so he's okay with it happening. They ended getting caught but Margo saved them by bribing the officer. But the only way they got away with it is because of Margo's body and the money. The officer was a perve. Now a days thats normal but its horrible that its like that. Q was scared so he was hiding in the bushes. I think Q should've maned up and helped Margo like what if she got raped. But Margo also handled it like she knew what she was doing. They finally got out and Q apologized to her that he didn't help her. Q thinks that things are going to be different at school. I think they are because Margo and him had a life changing experience together. But also who knows what Margo is thinking. Someone will click what happened together and know it was Margo who did everything. Q was really tired in the morning he was thinking about skipping school but he has a perfect attendance so he didn't. He realized Margo wasn't there in the morning. I think he was bummed out because he wanted to see if she would have talked to her about what happened and actually associated with her. Q fell asleep in all his most of his classes so he just decided to go in his friends car and take a nap in there. I don't really enjoy whats happening in the book right now because I don't know why Margo was not at school and I really wanna know what would've happened if she went. Its not usual that she does not go to school because her parents make her go to school weather she likes it or not. Q realizes that she is not at home either or at least hasn't seen her. The past week flies by and Margo is still not at school and not at her house. I could tell that Q was very nervous because he was with Margo that last night that she disappeared. The reason that her parents didn't go look for her is because she has done this before were she leaves for a few days then because she is trying to prove a point and then comes back to her angry parents. But this time its almost been two week since she's came back. I really don't like that she is not in the book right now because her character gives me really good vibes. Q is also seen like he is depressed because he hasn't been able to see her as much. Her parents said that she leaves clues so they know that she left for a reason. As soon as they said that Q went up to his room to see her window and there was a poster that he's never seen before. I think that a little weird because it was not there through out the book until now it shows up. I really like that Q cares so much for Margo. The love part if the book is drifting away and I don't like it at all. One of Margo's friends Lacey was worried about Margo and why she wasn't at school. But like she was one of the friends that betrayed Margo I was wondering why she should be worried about her. Then I found out that she actually didn't know that Jase Margo's boyfriend hooked up with Becca one of Margo;s other close friends. So thats why Lacey was confused as of why Margo would do that to her. I think Margo should've thought about everything through instead of jumping right to conclusions. Lacey had no idea and she is a loyal friend. I don't think that she should've deserved what Margo did to her at all. I think the author put that in for a twist but I didn't really like how they did it. The best part of the book right now is that Lacey asked out Ben to the prom. She only did it so she could be able to help ask out Margo but I still love it anyways. The author made a bad situation into a good one. When I found out that Q was still looking for clues to find Margo and didn't give up on her it made me so happy. The book was starting to get really boring and I did not want to keep reading it. Some of the reasons I decided to stop reading the book was because Q was losing interest in finding Margo and seemed like he didn't care about her anymore. Like that is the love part of the book and they just stop loving each other. I did not like that at all. It probably would change through out the book but I just do not care enough to keep reading it. Other big part that I didn't like is that the book started to focus on Q's friends and not Q. The reason I kept reading this book is because I loved Q's character. He was so relatable and funny. He also did not know how to handle love which is also very like me. Margo was also a character I liked because she was so brave and confident. Someone I wish to be. But they aren't really in the book right now. I think that Q will find Margo are they will confess their love for each other. This book is kinda of predictable in many ways. I am going to switch books to something that is more suspenseful. It is one of the best book's I have ever read. The reason I love it so much is because it has four different point of views on what is happening in the book. The characters in the book fit the situation perfectly. Four main characters are Autumn, Claire, Tomas, and Sylv. They all have a connection to the protagonist and his name is Tyler. The beginning of the book starts off with action right away but also foreshadows a lot so you can know what and why certain stuff goes on. The protagonist Tyler is shooting up the auditorium of the school after an assembly. I am not sure why he is doing it but he probably has a lot of anger in him. Two of the main characters are in the auditorium and the other two are out. Autumn is Tyler's younger sister and they never got along. But when their mom passed away they started to become closer. But his dad became a alcoholic and was never around anymore. So Tyler started to be more rebellious. I think that Tyler just did not have a good role model in his life since both of his parents are basically gone. When stuff like that happens I think you should go to the consular but it was too late for Tyler to do that because he shot the consulare of the school. It is very intense and a little bit gruesome but it makes the book so much better. The book makes me think a lot because it is about a school shooting and sometimes I wonder if that could ever happen in my school. There are 4 different point of views that the book has. all of them have some type of problem with Ty aka the shooter at the school. So the book some how ties back to Ty. Ty also had a really bad life like his dad was an alcoholic and his mom passed away. His sister was all he had. So I can see that he is really depressed and I guess he took it the really bad way. One thing that I do not like about Autumn his sister is that while he is shooting everyone she is just in the back of the auditorium. I feel like she knows that she can do something but she is really scared. I mean I would be too but if it was my brother I would stop its immediately. Me personally I think Ty is getting revenge because all the people that he shot are people that he had pasted problems with but, then again he also shot innocent people. In the book it never tells you of the people die or not. Like I can picture my self in the situation all of the character. It is really well written and I can really feel wha the characters are going through. Ty the school shooter is still shooting people at the part I am at. I feel like he has killed/injured a lot of people. This book has changed my perspective in life. Life can go from a regular day at school to a life and death situation in any moment. It is really scary to think about because you never want that to happen to you are anyone ever. Everything that happens in the book makes you think. Right now my favorite character is Claire because she has been trying to help as much as she can to break in the school. One of the main reasons she wants to do that as well is because of her brother Matt. he is in the auditorium. It breaks my heart to say it but Ty shot Matt but Claire does not know that yet. It never says that he died but it does say that he got shot. I cried when I found out that happens because that is you sibling I be devastated if something like that ever happened to my sister. All of those innocent kids are dying for no reason. Ty never has a reason to kill anyone. He is just killing people like it is a sport and its really bad. I started to read the first book of the Maze Runner series because it seemed really interesting. During the whole two breaks that we had I actually finished the book. It was one of my favorite books that I have read this whole year. After I read the Maze Runner I decided to start over on this is where it ends because I haven't read it in a long time. This book makes me think about life a lot and I'm very thankful on who I have in my life. The book is very intense but I like that. I love action books and this book has so much action its crazy. The characters in the book are really brave because I could never do what they did. Like standing up to the shooter. I could never do that in a million years. Something I really like that the author did was he told the story at different times with different characters. It made a lot more sense when I got more into the book because at first I didn't catch on. There are a lot of violence in the book but its not that bad. Its just really sad because there are a lot go people dying. Like I could never imagine going through that ever. It's been a really good book so far. The author made the intensity of the book really high. Like I could never put the book down when we are reading for 10 min. it is really hard. The book brings out a good message like to never take anything for granted in life. When the sister is trapped in the school and the brother is trying to get her out he realizes that even though they fight a lot they will always be brother and sister nothing would ever change that. This book made me cry a lot of times like one specific time was when Autumn was out of the school but her brother was in the auditorium while the shooting was going on. Her brother got shot and died but she right now in the book she doesn't know. I would be heart broken if my sibling died. I can't imagine what she will do when she finds out what happen to him. The author was really wise with his words like he would actually write it like how I imagine they would say it. I wonder why this is not a movie because its a really good book and I can imagine it. But then again it is also really gruesome I can't imagine something like that happening in a movie. It was such a good book. It had me in tears and made my jaw drop so many times. This book taught me so many things. Like don't take who you love for granted because you never know when you will be there to see them again. The three main girls of the book lost their brothers. I wasn't sure if the author wanted that to happen. I cried when the author was describing how they died and how the sisters were devastated. I could never imagine going through that. The four main characters had a similar background. Like their life seemed all good at school but, at their house it wasn't. All the characters needed help of some kind and no one was there to give it too them. Especially the guy with the gun. He kept saying in the book that he did not want to be alone anymore and right after that he shot himself right in front of his sister. He cared a lot for her too. It was so bad it had to come to that. I think the message of this book is that if you need help or your mindset is not right you can talk to anyone like a family member, teacher, sibling, close friends, and adults. Also not to ever take nothing for granted. Even when you are at your hardest times. Its called "the both die at the end." So far it is a really good book and it is really straight forward that is what I like about it. It is basically about a system in the world where they know when you die but they don't know how. These type of book make it so hard to put the book down. The main character Mateo gets a call and says that he is gonna die today. The reason being that when he was born his mom died. So he had to pay the price even though he didn't have anything to do with it. So I think if you do something bad that means that you die early and you can't live a full life. I am not sure if what I just said is true I'm just guessing. Mateo was never really close to his dad and his family wasn't always there for him. When he got the call from the Death - Cast he was sad that he was gonna die but he really didn't think that anyone was going to be sad for him. I'm inferring that he is going to live his last day of life to the fullest but he will never know the moment he will die. I can not imagine going through not knowing when you are going to die because it seems really scary. One of the reasons I️ really like it is because the entire book is based on one day. So the author is very descriptive on how they full day is described. I feel like Mateo really grew as a character because in the beginning he was not confident in him self. He also wasn't brave to speak up or do certain things that scared him. Now that he know that he is about to die in the next twenty four hours he is starting to get some confidence. He defiantly has courage because he tells this girl that he had knew for a long time that he liked her. Everyone knows that if you tell your crush that you like them you have all the confidence in the world. The person that has the same Death Day as him is Timothy. In the book they don't really say that much about his background. How the author made him seem as if he is the same exact way as Mateo. He wants to live the last few moments of his life doing things that he would never think of. If I was about to die I would be the same way. I have read all the Harry Potter books and I really wanted to read “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”. This book is based on nineteen years after the battle of hogwarts. The book is also in Acts and in special rehearsal edition script. So like if it was in a movie or a play. You really have to read all of the books to understand this book because it’s based on the last book. Like at the end of the Dealthy Hallows it ends off in Kings Cross and that how the book starts. I just started to read “Harry Potter and the Cursted Child” so I’m not too sure what the specific conflict that’s happening. I know Albus the main character is going to hogwarts for his first year. He says he is really nervous to his dad because of everything that Harry has been through. Albus isn’t alone though because Ron and Hermoine’s kids are going to be with Albus no matter what. It’s like going to a new school you don’t really know anybody. I would be really scared and nervous. Also since the battle of hogwarts everything is different. It is a lot more safe now. I would want to feel safe at school. In the current world we live in I don’t feel safe going to school at all because of everything that is happening. Everytime I picked it up I could never put it down. It was really suspenseful and everytime I read it I was on the edge of my seat. The book that I’m currently reading is “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It is not really that suspenseful it is more like you kind of know what is gonna happen. The book is predictable but in a good way. A way the two books are similar is the characters. Both of the main character whick are Albus from “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” and the four main character from “this is the end”. They are really brave in all the bad situations they are in. In the most part the books are completely different because one book is based on wizards and a fantasy book. While the other book is based on a real life situation and it could actually happen. 
I feel like I really like suspenseful drama and fantasy because they intrest me the most. I can’t really see my self really reading a romantic novel or a comedy book. I am not sure if I changed as a reader. I have always liked books like that so I don’t think I have changed that much. Action books just really interest me because I can never put the book down. Some action books aren’t always the right ones but most I really like. It’s basically like the book that’s being made into a movie or a play.  The character talk in 1st person. Through out the whole book the pov hasn’t changed at all. I am glad the POV is in 1st person because it is easier to understand the characters feelings are and what their intentions are. The POV affects the plot because it is told by the person that’s speaking so the point is given faster. It affects characterization because you get to read what the reader is thinking and what they think about other characters. You feel like they are actually talking to you. Which in my point of view is better to understand the book. I understand the theme better because when the characters are talking in the 1st POV they help you understand the theme a lot more. I feel like if the POV was different it would be a alot  harder to understand what the characters would  be thinking and feeling. Like in the 3rd person or feels like someone is talking to you about someone else. Which is sort of confusing if you are trying to figure out the theme of the book. If the narrator was a different character the whole book would change because the main character is the purpose of the book. Like if harry didn’t have a son then the main character would be different. The POV in this book is good because you can understand the character more and get the feel of the whole story.

He isn’t like Harry Potter at all because he’s lived behind his fathers shadow his whole life. On the bright he has a very kind heart and doesn’t mean bad to anyone. He’s very shy and only has one good friend named Scorpions which is actually his best friend. I personally like Albus because he is very brave and wants to help out as much as he can. On the other hand I wish he wasn’t so hard headed at times. He does some stuff that doesn’t make sense but then again he is a teenager in the book. I think the author wanted the reader to feel this way because Albus is the main character getting him self into danger to help out. That is where all the action happenes in the book. I’m all the Harry Potter books Harry did the same thing so he could save all the people that he loved. I don’t really see any aspects of my self in Albus because he likes to go with a plan he didn’t plan out well. I have to plan out something well before doing it so there won’t be anything that back fires on me. In the book I really admire Hermonie because she is such a strong powerful women in the book and doesn’t need a man to help her at anytime. Albus is having a hard time trying to connect with his father. He is having trouble understanding why his father is doing the things that he is doing. In the book the main problem caused was because Albus and his father didn’t have a good relationship. When Harry tries to connect with Albus he some how makes things worse. Through out the book Harry is changes into something that none of his family recognizes. I think the message of this issue is that too always try. Even when times get rough to always try and never give up. I feel like Harry isn’t going to give up on Albus and try to reconnect with his son so he doesn’t lose him. Yes I do agree with this message because a parent is suppose to help out their child and not leave them to do life on their own. 
It’s a good message to kids too. So they can open up to their parents more. In the book Albus didn’t do that so he was caught up in all this mess. Harry was just trying to help him but Albus blocked him out. To children it seems that that is the best way to go but in the book it’s shows them that it’s not. Albus eventually opens up to Harry and it seems a little at ease at first but then it gets better. Something that happened and change the whole entire book was when Albus and Harry decided to help eachother out instead of ignoring eachother. They had this disconnection but once Albus decided to let Harry help him they were basically unstoppable. I feel like if they kept ignoring eachother that Albus would do something you would’ve regretted. Even though he could’ve had Harry as a guidance. The story would be effected very negatively because this would mean that Albus would’ve failed and Voldemort would win. An outcome that could’ve changed the whole story is if Albus decided to ignore all of his family and took on the battle alone. He probably would’ve died instantly because in the book his friends and family helped him through thick and thin. One more alternate ending is if never decided to help Cedric’s dad with getting the time turner and using it to get his son back, none of the bad things that he went through in time wouldn’t have happened. Albus would’ve gone straight to hogwarts like everyone else. That’s where another story would’ve developed. I personally think that the way the story ended was a good closure for the book because through out the whole book it’s was nothing but up and down action. Like understanding the little thing your would just skim over and try to comprehend. Blogs were challenging to do especially when we didn’t have prompts for the blogs. When the prompts were giving to us it was definitely a whole lot better. It was easier to write and have more to talk about. My favorite book of the year was “this is where it ends”. The reason it was my favorite was because it really touched me. It was also easy to understand what was going on in the book. It taught me so many lessons that I would need in life and I really like those type of books that can help you in life. By far my favorite book that I have ever read in my life. I could’ve challenged my self a lot more than I did. I do regret that part because I felt like I didn’t achieve the goal that I wanted to achieve. During the summer I want to start reading a lot more. I didn’t hate doing blogs. It was an easy grade and they weren’t their hardest thing in the world. They also made me read a lot more which I needed too, so that was definitely a plus. I feel like you should definitely do blogs next year because they were easy and effective.
