My Learning Style-Angela Andreadis

I'm not surprised that I am more of a visual learner. I always have to see how a new word looks like before I can be able to pronounce it aloud and fully learn it's meaning as well. I can most certainly read for hours and it is an activity that makes me happy. My weakest learning style is the kinesthetic but there are some hobbies that I am involved with that include hands on learning. Tactual and auditory learning are a very close in the middle for me and I do notice some of those traits in my learning as well as in my teaching. Overall, I think we need all learning styles in various quantities to help us be effective learners and teachers.

According to the test, I am a combination of a visual and tactual learner. This result came to no surprise, since I could really see myself in lots of the relevant statements. For example, I can easily memorize data written on paper (like names, adresses), or I can spend hours reading, writing and proofreading. On the contrary, I cannot concentrate in a noisy or full of visual stimulation environment. As a tactual learner, I find it easy to read nonverbal signals or anticipate people's feelings. Not being able to do so would be weird, given that I am a licenced Psychologist with several years of professional experience back home. On the other hand, it is hard for me to work in a group in which I feel disrespected, or to be taught by a teacher whose interpersonal skills seem to be underdeveloped.

I wasn't aware what a tactual learner was, but I fit the criteria, especially seeing the difficulties one experiences in learning. My environment is extremely important to me, when it comes to both people and physical surroundings. This has been very stressful at times, and I try to create pleasant spaces for people to feel comfortable in.

It seems I am a tactual and visual learner.

I like listing my problems and the things I have to do. I remember details only when I see them and I require quiet during study. I always prefer to select my own books and to read in a pleasant and comfortable surroundings.

I use interpersonal skills and I understand human language and non verbal communication.

According to the quiz I am mostly auditory learner and secondly visual . I remember since I was child I would listen my teacher talking in class and memorize the lesson. Later in school I started writing and say out loud my notes and that helped me through my learning. My most weak learning style is the kinesthetic and that is because I never really had hobbies that involved movements.

My style is a combination of the four. It depends on the subject and the project. When I listen to a lecture I make some visuals the same time. I can not memorize a text if I do not understand it or if I do not make visuals. I forget names and spelling

My learning style is mostly tactual. That means that I am great at understanding how others feel, I solve problems by discussing with others and I like to study in my own pace. However it is harder for me to focus and learn when I feel unwelcome for example.

I scored the highest in tactual and second in auditory. I was not surprised by the auditory finding but I was definitely surprised by the tactual. Regarding tactual, I am in tune with how others might be feeling. In addition the surrounding environment is very important to me which explains why I changed my classroom environment to be more cozy.

I am an visual learner that mean need to see the information on paper, photograph to then afterwards find a way to problem solve and move forwards .I remember children faces years later from Greek School. Which mean organize is key for the daily and week tasks needed to complete with all the dates and times.
