Maxwell is the CEO of Agriland Farming Company, Inc. He founded the full-service farm management company in 1990 and has directed its growth to become one of the world's preeminent nut growers while developing hundreds of acres of new vineyards and orchards each year. James R. Maxwell has also founded several other companies that contribute to successful agricultural operations. These companies include Agri Systems, Inc., Agriland Nursery, Inc., Madera Ag Supply, Inc., and Sequoia Transport Inc., the latter of which specializes in transporting agricultural commodities as well as heavy farm and construction equipment. In addition, James Maxwell is the founder and president of Agri Capital, Inc., which arranges financing on real property assets in California. Mr. Maxwell holds an MBA from California State University, Fresno, and completed the Executive Course for Smaller Companies at Stanford University.
