Maroon 5is an Americanpop rockband that originated inLos Angeles,California. Before the group was formed the original four members of the 1994 band were known asKara's Flowers while its members were still in high school. In 2001, the band changed its image by adding guitaristJames Valentineand pursuing a new direction under the name Maroon 5.
