I added Count on me, to my playlist because the lyrics remind me of Gale form the novel. The lyrics state " You can count on me like one, two, three . ill be there". In chapter 3, page 40 it expresses " Don't let them starve! i cry out , clinging to his hand. I wont! You know i won't! Katniss". My favorite part was when Katniss asked Rue to team up with her because it showed how they ended up being a good team together. My favorite character was Rue because she’s so sweet and adventurous.
If I could change one thing, it would be that Rue wouldn’t die so early because Rue and Katniss were a good team. One technique the author used that I really liked was the imagery because it gives me more of an image of how it looks and I understand it more. One example of this is “ When I wake up, the other side of the bed is cold. My fingers stretched, seeking Prim’s warmth but finding only the rough canvas cover of the mattress”. I would recommend this book because it has a good storyline and it’s intense.

I added The Climb, to my playlist because the lyrics remind me of the Topic perseverance from the novel.  The lyrics state " But I, I gotta keep trying

These lyrics make me think of the novel; In chapter 12,page 169 it expressed " What is Haymitch doing? Despite my anger, hatred and suspicions, a small voice in the back of my head whispers an answer. "Maybe he's sending me a message", it says. A message. Saying what? Then i know. There's only one good reason Haymitch could be withholding water from me. because he knows I've almost found it". This is why i think this song represents perseverance because it shows that even though she's facing struggles finding water she realizes that she cant back down and try even harder to find water.

These lyrics make me think of the novel; in chapter 15, page 288 it expresses, " You know, they're not the only ones that can form alliances, i say. For a moment, no response. Then one of Rue's eyes edges around the trunk. " You want me as an ally?" Why not? You saved me with those tracker jackers." This is why i think this song goes with this novel, because it shows how they've made friendship by  Rue saving Katniss.

He is described as having dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. At the beginning of the novel Peeta is in love, but he doesn't think the girl he is in love with notices's him at all. I know this because in chapter 9, page 130 it states " Well, there is this one girl. I've had a crush on her ever since i can remember. But i'm pretty sure she didn't know i was alive until the reaping. During the events that unfold, Peeta informs the capitol who the special girl is. This can be seen in chapter 10, page 133. " I don't think it's going to work out. Winning..... won't help in my case, says Peeta. Why ever not? says Ceasar, mystified. Peeta blushes beet red and stammers out. Because...... because...... she came here with me." At the end of the novel Peeta ends up getting heart broken by planned love by Katniss. This is expressed in chapter 27, page 372 when it states "So, what you’re saying is, these last few days
and then I guess ... back in the arena ... that was just
some strategy you two worked out.”
“No. I mean, I couldn’t even talk to him in the arena,
could I?” I stammer.
“But you knew what he wanted you to do, didn’t
you?”says Peeta. I bite my lip. “Katniss?” He drops my
hand and I take a step, as if to catch my balance. “It was all for the Games,” Peeta says. “How you
acted.”
“Not all of it,” I say, tightly holding onto my flowers.
“Then how much? No, forget that. I guess the real
question is what’s going to be left when we get home?”
he says.
“I don’t know. The closer we get to District Twelve, the
more confused I get,” I say. He waits, for further
explanation, but none’s forthcoming". Peeta goes from being in love to being played by the girl he loves.
