When it was the beginning of sophomore year. I was nervous because I was getting used to all my new classes. I was also very excited also because I was also meeting all my friends again after a long summer break. When I walked into my classes again, it felt like a new environment I walked into.

A project that I am mostly proud of is my speech project about opening a business. The project was just really fun to make, and we had an entire month to do the project which made me feel like I could do it at any time I want to.

This school year I had many read many stories throughout the year but the one that I liked the most was about King Midas. A cool quote that I liked from the story was “Gold is cold and lifeless. It can buy food, but not appetite medicine, but not health companions, but not friends.” The reason I like the quote is because it shows that Midas really regrets making the wish of turning everything to gold.

One of the biggest challenges I faced this year was having to keep up having a good grade in biology. I started the year strong having decent grades all around my classes but towards the end of the year was when it started getting tough for me. Then I started to lock in with all my classes, by doing all the missing work I had for my teachers and started paying attention more.

A poem that I found online but really resonates with me is called "Still I rise" by Maya Angelou. The poem says that “You may trod me in the very dirt but still, like dust, I’ll rise.” This poem really helps me understand that I had the strength to keep doing all of Escobar's assignment's

Next year, I want to stay focused, try my best, and not give up no matter how hard it gets. I’m hoping to learn more, especially in the classes that will help me reach my dream of working in the medical field.
