         <description><![CDATA[<p>I find it hard to imagine how I was able to sit down in a classroom for 6-7 hrs a day and be forced to absorb all the knowledge that comes my way.</p><p><br></p><p>I am thinking if teaching and learning in school/class can be less static, but more station-based, so that there is more organic movement by the students. Stations can be supplemented by artifacts for hands-on learning and augmented reality.</p>]]></description>

What if we gave students the opportunity to take turn delivering speeches in their mother tongue at the school canteen? </p><p><br/></p><p>This could serve as an alternative assessment, enabling students to practice public speaking, build confidence, and connect with their cultural heritage in a more engaging and controlled setting. It would allow students to take ownership of their learning and sharing their thoughts autonomously. </p><p><br/></p><p>No one can escape public speaking. Therefore, Science involves a lot of unlearning and relearning. History shows all the ways in which humans realised they were wrong about Science; the current state of the field is the culmination of years of research and discovery to figure out what it means to think and do Science in a way that can be considered right.</p><p><br></p><p>Students who find Science confusing should not think of themselves as lacking the aptitude for Science, but as belonging to a different era, e.g. ancient philosophers vs. renaissance period polymaths vs. contemporary researchers. They can come to a proper understanding of modern Science simply by sailing through the ages.</p>]]></description>

I made this thing to show/tell you how I made it."</p><p><br/></p><p>I have always been excited about helping students develop metacognition. I think one way is to encourage students to express their thought process through speaking/writing/illustrating. Ideally, the way they to do it should be clear enough as to be instructive for someone else.</p>]]></description>

(Something that is translatable to Post-Secondary life as the current fitness corners around the neighbourhood are quite well-designed.)</p><p><br/></p><p>Another idea:</p><p>Modified NAPFA stations for Sec 1 &amp; 3 -Work on similar muscle groups but a different exercise tested. Students get to learn different exercises while still keeping fit with our goal of testing their NAPFA every year. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) The Scholars Exhibition in ACM showed a traditional Chinese study. These studies were tidy, cooling, and free of distractions. The desks also faced out into a garden for some garden time. Our classrooms are quite stuffy and warm.  It really would be lovely if the garden could be done up nicely or some outdoor spaces could be improved for practical use. Currently outdoor spaces have too little chairs, or are too dark (or if the lights are turned on it's too warm) or the sun makes the space unusable for most of the day. </p><p><br/></p><p>2) Would be lovely to add splashes of colour to the school. eg staircase ledges could have quotes about the values/ walls could have lively murals on the wall that complement our current information boards. Classrooms could have a medium whiteboard at the back for students to decorate and maintain without their work being erased for lessons. Interactive and promotes ownership/ building of a community. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Can we have a values tree wall in one of the corners of the school to recognise our students’ efforts in VIA? Like how this quote mentions, “Life branches out on a tree.  We may grow in different directions but our roots remain as one. “  </p><p>By putting in photos of out students in action during their VIA session, the tree captures the students continuous learning and contributing back to our community. </p><p>~ Evergreen in learning, Exceptional in Character. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Return WA1 before the March holidays</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Could we make it so that the students know how they’re doing before the March break so they can use part of the time to reflect and review? Would be good to start term 2 refreshed with new resolutions. Not much time to reflect and recalibrate their efforts when they get their results when term 2 starts.</p>]]></description>
