For my specific demographic, I chose people with heavy phone cases. When using the stand with my phone, which uses an OtterBox phone case, I noticed that the weight of the phone would pushed strongly on the stand. Though this did provide a good angle, I wanted to make sure that I had access to the angle lighter phones have as well. In order to improve the function of the stand, I placed binder clips on the sides of the stand. These were strong enough to keep the stand from being pushed back as far as it was. If the angle from the heavier phone is ever desired, one just has to open the top of the clips and the paper will fold back on itself again. In order to improve the form of the design, I added a paper clip that can hold drawings for personalization. I figured this would be preferable over drawing on the stand itself since anyone can place and take out any drawing they want whenever they want, without having to deal with erasing and marks left behind by previous drawings. The drawings can be kept in the flap under stand.
