Don’t wait till the night before to study, you’ll probably regret it the next morning. What works for other people might not work for you and that’s ok, especially when it comes to class load, don’t take more classes than you can handle. Make time for relaxing, and sleep!

Make schedule for yourself and stick to it. Make time to study but also time to relax and enjoy. Adjust your schedule until you find the right balance between school and entertainment.

Take time outside of class to learn the subject. Master the class, get help from tutors, read more books. Keep on top of not only your school work but also your personal life. Don’t get behind on anything.

Utilize a calendar to put important events so you don’t forget them. I used Microsoft “to do” to write down assignment and their due dates when they were assigned. It helped me keep track of what I needed to be doing and in what order. I also use Anki to take notes. Anki is a flashcard app, so when I’m taking notes I’m making flashcards at the same time that way I can study them later on. Flashcards are by far the best way to retain information due to the fact that you have to actively recall the information on your own. The more you recall the information the easier it gets. This saved me a lot of wasted time reading over notes and not retaining any of the information. I heard a lot of people say they don’t know how to study and then they take so much time trying to figure out how to study that they don’t end up studying, Anki or any other flashcard app is great for that. But overall just do your best to start the semester strong with good grades that way you aren’t playing catch-up the whole semester, you can just coast (still have to put in work) and it’s way less stressful. Also check emails to make sure you don’t miss anything important, and communicate with your professors.
