The scientific method was a method that scientists used to ask themselves themselves something they saw in the physical world. Roger Bacon was the one who developed the scientific method. This helped people plan what they saw. It helped keep it organized and precise. Now people can keep track of their thoughts through the scientific method.

Galileo Galilei was an Italian Scientist. He was born in Pisa, Italy. He made one of the first telescopes. With his telescope he studied the planets. He discovered that Jupiter had moons, sun had spots, and that the earth's moon was rough. He believed the sun was in the center and that all the planets revolved around it. He got in trouble with the church and they forced him to take back what he discovered. He impacted the world because he confirmed that the earth was not in the center but it revolved around the sun. He improved the telescope. This is now helpful because many scientists use it now to study the universe and discover new things. Galileo Galilei died in Arcetri on January 8, 1642.

Robert Boyle was an Anglo-Irish philosopher. He was born in County Waterford in the south-east of Ireland. He built a laboratory in Dorset. There he and Robert Hooke devised the vacuum chamber or air pump. It was the most famous piece of experimental equipment. A vacuum chamber is useful today because its used in the field of spacecraft to provide an environment on how a spacecraft would be in space. Robert Boyle's Law was that when the volume of gas is decreased the pressure will increase. He defined on how to tell the difference between acids and bases. He established the Royal Society with eleven people. He was asked to be the president of Royal Society but he didn't because he thought it would go against his religion. Robert Boyle died in London on December 31, 1691.

Issac Newton was an English physicist. He was born on January 4, 1643. His law of gravity was that a particle attracts another particle using a force. This happens because their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Issac Newton published the Principia. This changed the way people saw the universe.

Edward Jenner was an English physician. He was born in Berkeley, United Kingdom. He was the first one that used the process called vaccination. He inserted germs from cowpox into a boy's arm in a incision. This helped the person from getting smallpox. He did this because he was testing his theory that milkmaids who got cowpox never got smallpox. Vaccination soon spread. Vaccination affected the world because now it reduces disease, disability, and death.
