He was shot and killed by a sniper, James Earl Earl, according to the simple Wikipedia. King had been in Memphis to support a strike by sanitation workers and was planning to lead a march. His death had a significant impact on the Civil Rights Movement, and his legacy continues to inspire people today.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
