- 15 Black Muslims were seized and arrested at a meeting that was taking place in January 1963. The policemen intruded on a closed religious meeting.
-Only two of the fifteen Black Muslims had their charges dropped, and the ones that were charged, were charged with two counts of third degree assault and two counts of unlawful assembly.
-The Black Muslims that were charged, were put on probation after the judge suspended their sentences.
-An open enrollment program challenged segregation in schools many times. They wanted the schools to integrate. 
-Their reason for denying was because they supposedly didn't want overcrowding in schools, and it would alter the neighborhoods to promote integration as well.

Board of Education programs constantly were challenging the courts. By June 25th, 1964, the courts finally ruled integration constitutional. This meant that schools could try to integrate in the future. There were many buildings and monuments that were damaged and destroyed, which ended up having to be rebuilt.
Many African-Americans were hurt by police, which allowed them to file for police brutality. Many were killed or injured badly for actions that wouldn't get most people killed.
