One of Judith Butler's quotes were put into the reading where she said that the fear of lesbians and gays changing will start to fabricate human beings and exaggerating biotechnology etc which is a very real thing that is going on many people are concerned that with everything going on that things will change from what has been known for decades there's been videos that have gone around of someone asking strangers of the community if men can get pregnant and there have been people to say yes and have tried changing the biotechnology terms and definitions and I wanna add that just because those who are fearing this does not mean that they do not support those of the community its just what science has proven

Reading the first part of chapter three I realized why so many people are against the same sex marriage or even against the LGBTQIA + community and its because those that are against are worried that if those are the same marriage will produce queer children which confuses me since just because you have two mothers or two fathers doesn't mean your going to turn out like them and even if they do are lesbian or gay I don't understand how that is such a bad thing when it causes the world no harm

The chapter also discusses how having children with disabilities is a burden and that parents shouldn't be informing there children about them which is shocking because disabilities aren't rare there are many children with disabilities and teaching children that disabilities aren't okay or aren't normal is cruel children with disabilities deserve the same type of love and life there is nothing wrong with have a disability and I think everyone should be educated about them

Piercy talks about how having a future of both genders having the Bodys meaning men can get pregnant and they can breastfeed etc and says how having a future like that would cause all the arguing to stop and everyone would agree upon this however I just see that making things worse then what they already are if there isn't enough hate in this world that would cause more towards the LGBTQIA + community as there are women that feel like they are being stripped from who they are in a sense and also she also brings up how no child will be "bonded" to a certain set of parents they will have DNA from everyone but there are plenty of those who are apart of the community who want there children to have there DNA and look like them etc so I don't see that being the future as even those in the community would not want that

The reading also talks about the states deems disabilities as an unredeemable difference which is something I do have to agree with within the ready because unfortunately there are many in the world who sees someone with disabilities and won't talk to them or want to be around them because there "different" and I've seen it happen a lot within my life where a school mate won't be accepted in the class or even outside of the class because no one wants to be seen with them unfortunately and its extremely sad but something that happens a lot in the world is the nicest people are always treated wrongly

However another piece that was said in the chapter was how in the future everyone should have a voice, should be heard and there questions should be answered respectively and at least take in what they said instead of just shutting them down and that is something that I think many hope for, for the future I think that would be a positive outcome everyone should be heard and there questions or concerns should be listed to rather or not everyone will agree to it is fine but at least everyone will be represented and I think that if everyones voice could be heard and agreed upon that there could be changes to the world

Another fact that was interesting to read was that genetics is defiantly political rather then pure scientific which is something hard to read because genetics has always been pure scientific now I do have to agree with piercy that some people on both sides do let there feelings take away from the facts that have been proven however I do think that's why it would be hard for the future she has brought up because that is taking away that has been known to everyone and what we learned in science

Piercy also adds on how her audience knows and agrees upon which negative genes and characteristics should be eliminated which she's talking about disabilities and although I agree that it would be awesome if no one had to go through disabilities as they are hard to go through but as that cannot happen and they haven't found a way to make that possible I don't think those with it should be pushed off to the side in society and not accepted
