James I(1603-1625)

I am King James the first and I was the First Puritan King of England and I took over from the great Queen Elizabeth. I was the first King to translate the bible into English and we called it The King James Bible. I was honored to be the King who founded one the most prominent Settlements in the newly acquired lands of America. I named it Jamestown.

Charles I (1625-1649)

I am King Charles I of England, as King I believed it was my God-given right to rule England without needing Parliament's approval, so I often clashed with them over issues like money, religion, and how the country should be governed. My actions angered many people, and eventually, these tensions exploded into a civil war in 1642 between my loyal supporters, called Royalists or Cavaliers. Despite my efforts to maintain control, Cromwell's forces defeated my army at the Battle of Naseby, and I lost my power as King.

Oliver Cromwell (1649-1658)

I am Oliver Cromwell, and I led the army to victory in the English Civil War. I removed the King and became Lord Protector, ruling England myself. I also took control of Ireland and Scotland, and made sure everyone followed strict religious rules.

Charles II (1658-1685)

I am Charles II, I was forced to flee to France during Cromwell's rule because I was a threat as the son of Charles. When Cromwell died, I returned and restored the monarchy in what became known as the Restoration. During my reign, I faced big problems like the Great Fire of London in 1966 and the return of the Black Plague, But I tried to heal the country by allowing more religious freedom.

James II (1685-1688)

I am James II, the Catholic brother of Charles II who became king of England. Many people did not like my religion, so I was peacefully forced to give up my throne during the Glorious Revolution. After I was overthrown, new laws were made that limited the power of future kings.

William & Mary (1688-1702)

As, king I agreed to share my power with Parliament so that the people would have more say in how England is run. My wife Mary and I became rulers after King James II was overthrown because we were both protestant. We also signed the English Bill of rights in 1689, which made sure no king or queen could rule without following the laws.
