         <description><![CDATA[<p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">This culminating assignment requires students to synthesize the knowledge and skills learned from the Technology Infusion Unit and incorporate them into their instructional practices.&nbsp;Students will&nbsp;create a Padlet board to depict a unit plan that integrates technology in teaching in order to promote student learning.&nbsp;Students should use a unit that they are currently teaching (or have taught) and create a “resource board” using Padlet to illustrate&nbsp;</span><i style="font-size: 13px;">how they plan to integrate technology into the unit</i><span style="font-size: 13px;">.&nbsp;As this is a culminating assignment, students MUST INCLUDE connections between ISTE standards, teaching practice, and technology available in their school/district to demonstrate mastery of all unit content and receive full credit. &nbsp;</span><strong style="font-size: 13px;">Students will present their Technology Use Plan in class in Week 7.</strong></p><p>The essential components of this assignment include:</p><p><span>o</span>&nbsp;Basic unit info (what is the unit being taught?)&nbsp;<i>(note: the emphasis of this assignment is not on the unit components themselves, but rather how technology is being integrated to add value to the unit)</i></p><p><span>o</span>&nbsp;Technology integration- what tools and/or resources are being used AND how do they add value to the unit?</p><p><span>o</span>&nbsp;Alignment with content standards</p><p><span>o</span>&nbsp;Alignment with ISTE-S standards (what ISTE-S standards are promoted?)</p><p><span>o</span>&nbsp;Reference to ISTE-T standards (what ISTE-T standards are promoted?)</p><p><span>o</span>&nbsp;Inclusion of SED 501 course content (k<span>nowledge learned from SED 501 course content and the Resource Catalog assignment is explicitly referenced and used to design learning tasks and develop student outcomes.&nbsp;)</span></p><p><span>o&nbsp;<span>Be sure to include multi-media elements on your Padlet board to depict the unit (images, video, text, websites, etc.)</span></span></p></p>]]></description>

Information: Class Portfolio</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>As a future History Teacher and as a History student myself I&nbsp;understand the large amount of information there is to take in. To help students with this undertaking will have a Weebly page dedicated to each subject I&nbsp;will teach.&nbsp;Each page will have a tab for Chapters and then each Chapter tab will have its own information depending on the information needed. In each Chapter tab there will be a Quizlet link so students can go in and study vocabulary terms and pictures the students should know. I will also have the students make their own Weebly page that will link up with the class. Each student will be required to post onto the page pictures and phrases they find interesting with their descriptions of what the picture in or what the phrase means, they will.&nbsp;I believe that a class portfolio&nbsp;will help students to learn and understand the content better, by giving students help in the subject area, and also by having them search out ideas about the time periods they will&nbsp;think creatively, and critically.&nbsp;</p><p>How will the students benefit from this:</p><p>1. They will be able to gain knowledge of technology.</p><p>2. The students will see how I have made a portfolio and be able to use mine as an exemplar</p><p>3. Students will build their own portfolio helping students to have information in one spot</p><p>4. The students will post anything they find that is pertinent to the subject matter</p><p>5. The students will post some assignments on their portfolio, Not all assignments will be able to be posted.</p><p>6. The teachers portfolio will help students will studing, learning, and prigressing through the subject matter. </p>]]></description>

         <title>SED 501 What am I taking away?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>SED501 has opened my eyes to all the technology there is for teachers and
students. I have seen some of the resources such as the google products and
moviemaker, but the many Collaborative tools, Assessment tools and portfolio
tool such as Weebly, which I have used in this demonstration. I expect to use
these tools throughout my teaching career. Tools like Weebly will help students
to become more familiar with the internet and its resources, and as a teacher
it well help me keep the students informed, get the students involved, and help
the students understand the subject better. In a setting like my current
Internship school which every student has access to an iPad, tools like Weebly
are ideal. I would also like to incorporate a learning tool such as Quizlet to
help the students study in a way that is more exciting.</p>]]></description>
