We could actually add an awareness campaign for mangrove by doing a collaboration with high school students. Hence, exposing young people with important of mangrove. Next, after we plant it, who will take care all those trees? We can't look after it, because they aren't in UUM. 
Lastly, are you sure that we could do another option, like clean the beach in the same day? It is because it will exhausted our body and energy. If it is alright to you, then, we can proceed it.

Also, peatlands are essentials are those trees carbon 50x more than tropical trees. 
As we all know, climate change is one of the biggest issues right now so I think by planting more trees would be good for the environment itself including our livelihoods, biodiversity, ecosystem, water, etc. (sources:https://ecoviva.org/7-reasons-mangroves-matter/) 
But then again, I like beh's idea as well about the plastic ban campaign because yeah i think it's time to educate our society about the importance of plastic ban and make it as a norm so eventually they will get used to it maybe? 
But based on time given, I'd say Mangrove Plantation would be a great for this project 😁
