·      Grows: Still trying to figure out how this differs from narrative inquiry. Seems to overlap a lot with me with sharing stories and descriptions of what happened.

o   While AI can be useful and helpful for coding, researchers still need to check whether the themes and outcomes are accurate.

·      Grows: Supposed to research until new information does not bring upon new insights; however, how to we balance that with time management and realistic deadlines?

How would Carlos’ experiences with American schooling have been in a more Latino-heavy area? I’m not sure if he initially moved to Chicago or just attended college there, but I’ve never heard  of an Illinois-style burrito, but I did eat some very depressing “tacos” there once. I joke about food a lot when talking about culture, but one of the hardest things about living in Albania was adjusting to a lack of some of the flavors and dishes I was used to. The food was often delicious and fresh, but it was challenging craving a particular comfort dish and knowing I wouldn't even be able close to making it with the supplies and spices I had available.

Emphasis can be used alongside frequency of repetition to help code things. A low-frequency, heavily-emphasized event can be a code as much as something that is heard over and over but more casually. 

Tracy mentions the potential of AI for help with coding, but I don’t think the tech is quite there yet. I’ve been encouraged to experiment with ChatGPT and other AI tools in another of my classes and have spent as much time trying to get it to do what I want as I would’ve taken to just do the task myself.

This is so common for so many immigrant families. Children are the ones who feel the sense of powerlessness as the adults make decisions that have such huge impacts on their lives.
