The Recent Developments theory, on our context is a little bit difficult to apply. The multilingualism is a little bit hard for most Brazilians schools.  Most students usually don’t get in touch with the English language outside the school, and in our country, in some areas of the country it is rare foreigners. Although when Ellis (2021) shares that language systems are non-linear, highly variable, individualistic, nonpredictable and always open to change, I see that we are on the way. The Padlet is an example on how we can use new things to reinvent the methodologies.

The Social Turn theory implies in our context in a really good way. In Brazil, in the 90s, we saw an increase of number of English schools, and each one with a different methodology. When schools started paying attention on what the students needed and were looking for, it opened the door for a lot of ways of teaching and for students focus on what they wanted for that moment or what it was better for them. And in regular school, teachers could be creative too, bringing to class movies, songs, games etc.
