I believe that keeping track of our digital footprint is extremely important. It might affect your future life or career in major ways. Personally, I make sure to not do things I might regret later like posting about my personal information on publicly available social platforms. You should also make sure to use strong passwords or passkeys paired with 2FA for maximum security of private stuff you'd like to keep private.
