  • A marvel. It has funny moments, sad moments, but above all, beautiful moments. The chemistry between the protagonists is enormous and the story engages. I really enjoyed it.
  • The only real acting in this movie comes from Janet McTeer and Charles Dance as Will's aggrieved parents. They bring some ballast to this blubberfest.
  • Much better than I expected. Actually quite funny and nice viewing. I thought it would be very sad and serious. I loved all her clothes too.

  • In the movie poster and tie-in version of the book, Emilia comes out in a red dress but the photo originally was from when they recorded the wedding scenes but digitally removed the flower from her hair and changed the dress from blue to red .

  • The film can be considered an anomaly because the director is female (Thea Sharrock), the scriptwriter is woman (Jojo Moyes adapted the novel) and is carried out by a woman (Emilia Clarke). (Am I the only one who finds it sad that this was considered abnormal because of how uncommon it is in Hollywood?)
  • Part of the cast has been involved with other major adaptations. Emilia Clarke and Charles Dance with Game of Thrones, which is an adaptation of the series of novels Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R Martin. Matthew Lewis, who will play Patrick-Louisa-with the adaptations of Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. Janet Mcteer (Camilla Traynor) left as Edith Prior and Ben Lloyd-Hughes as Will in The Saga of Divergent, adaptation of the novels of Veronica Roth. Sam Claflin in the saga of The Hunger Games, adaptation of the novels of Suzanne Collins.
  • Controversy! People with disabilities are protesting against the film and book for their portrayal of people with disabilities and more because of the final decision (which I will not mention to avoid spoilers) taken by Will's character, played by Sam Claflin at movie.
