By being involved in world affairs we are able to make alliances with other nations for example NATO is a large treaty between countries in which the United states is involved NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization and has over 40 countries involved in it without NATO we wouldn't be sending other countries as much military aid and not receiving much either.
