This action causes crude oil prices to collapse to the low US$30/barrel range as other economies cannot compete with Russia and Saudi Arabia. This affects T&T as we are an energy based economy. the Government now projects to receive $3.5 billion less in revenues which is expected to widen the budget deficit to over $8.5 billion.
