1. Self-Reflection
A leader should know how to be persuasive and confident when delivering a message, resilient and mindful of their own feelings, think critically when making decisions, and also work for the community. At first, it sounds simple and obvious but throughout the YK GBR-CBL, i've learned all the techniques and practices to actually fulfill those criterias, which serve as great guide in my journey to become a leader.

2. My Pledge
I've always ran away from the fact that in order to become a leader, you must first become a people-person. Now, I must face it head on before I could proceed any further. Throughout my studies I will overcome my shyness with crowds, as well as develop the other skills I've mentioned above. Once I finish my studies, I want to make healthcare accessible and affordable to the Orang Asli living in the remote areas e.g a mobile clinic, as well as refugees who are suffering in our country from the stigma they face in healthcare.

3. Personal Development Plan

-Take my studies seriously as it already involves patient-doctor relationship activities, which will improve my soft skills
-Get involved with NGOs to learn how to serve the community
-Build connection with senior doctors as well as the medical student community to work together and lead them to achieve the same goal mentioned above

1. Self-Reflection

Leadership is not a trait that naturally exists in someone that would make them a great leader. It consists of one’s strengths as well as their weaknesses, their life experience and how well they learn from their mistakes, their passion and mission in life. Leaders have to be versatile and able to think on their toes; they have to be logical and culturally intelligent as they must not judge something just by its appearance but both by having a look from the bigger picture as well as a detailed view of it. Most important of all, however, leaders are people with clear goals from the onset and they strive with vigour and passion to achieve those goals for the outcome they seek.

Throughout the YKLDP programme, we have been exposed to and taught how one can become a great leader in all aspects. The reason as to why we must become leaders with the opportunities given to us, is simply to bring about a positive change to the society and the world, no matter big or small. Through the second portion of the programme, we are given our targets – the Sustainable Development Goals – which further solidified the reason we must become leaders. It portrayed to us that an immense amount of change is required to fix the issues that still exists in the world out there.

2. My Pledge and Commitment

As a computer science undergraduate, I pledge to use my knowledge and tech skills in helping underprivileged children achieve digital literacy.

I also pledge to create a platform on which underprivileged children can obtain the education or additional knowledge necessary for whatever they dream to be.

3.

1. Self-reflection

A leader is someone who leads others towards betterment, and not necessarily the one who does everything by himself to make a change. Being a leader is not too much about who you are, but it is more about what can you do for the society and those under your lead. As a leader, your aspiration should not be about having all the power to control or influence others, your aspiration should be about inspiring others and empowering them so that they can become a leader who contributes to their own communities themselves.

2. My pledge and commitment

As a law student, I pledge to keep being a diligent student of the law and keep on learning more things. I pledge to contribute to my community and society in spreading awareness on legal issues such as infringement of human rights.

1. Self-Reflection

Throughout the program, I have learnt a lot about what are qualities needed to be a good leader. Firstly, a leader should be a good persuasive speaker. It it very significant for a leader to be able to persuade and express their opinion to other people. Beside that, I also have a better image and view on how to make decision in every tight situation. A leader should be able to make decision that will benefit the organization. Lastly, as a future leader, I must know how to handle other people, be a good example, always do the right things and be a understanding and tolerate person.

2. My Pledge and Commitment

First thing, I wish to be a good and flexible leader that can be useful in every project and organization. A flexible leader is able to adapt and be tolerate to the people regardless the environment and situation. Finally, I wish to able to join a lot of community work, which will obviously benefits the society and myself as a person.

3.

1. Self Reflection
Jose Mourinho, one of the greatest football managers in recent memory once told of the differences between a captain and a leader. 'Leaders are not bought or made'. It was a statement that resonated true with me as I underwent this 3 month programme. Interacting and learning from current pioneers in the industry and changemakers taught me that they started somewhere and if I wanted to change the world, I had to start small
2.
