When she told her family none of them wanted her to go because they were scared that something bad would happen to her, especially my grandfather, so one day she took a flight without telling anyone and left for her new opportunity. There was also the War on Terror and Iraq was that raised taxes, causing my parents even more financial instability, making it even more difficult for them to pay for their education.
