The importance of Rizal law in instilling patriotism among college students is to remind us about its deep meaning. In our generation right now, many have neglected the idea of patriotism and nationalism due to the emerging influence of other nation through their trends, music, movie, foods, and many more. By introducing the Rizal law especially to us college students it would be the key for us to be reminded the importance of loving thy own country and dying for one’s own country. It helps us college students in order to wake up from the truth that as the influence of other countries grows bigger our focus towards our own country is gradually disappearing from our very own eyes. I also believe that it would greatly help shaping not just our beloved country but also it will shape us to be great leaders that will help provide order and to lead our country into peace and prosperity.

Name: Gilbert B.

At the present time, our filipino nationalism is fading. we filipinos especially the youth are inclined to embrace other cultures in this globalized world. we lack love for our country and we tend to adapt foreign culture known as colonial mentality

Rizal law is an act to include in the curricula of all public and private schools, colleges and universities courses on the life, workd and writings of rizal. As students in particular, we would also be able to understand better what jose rizal did for our country. this is also really important to us because it is during our educational years when we choose our own carrer paths. through this act, the educational institutions will make us realize that the philippines is a critical part of our priorities and servingit is an inborn duty of each one of us.

Name: Abdulkhalik H.

RA No. 1425, commonly known as The Rizal Law, basically about the obligation of all schools in the Philippines to teach the life and work of Rizal, the national hero, in commemoration of all the sacrifices of hour heroes in the fight for our freedom. Teaching the life and work of Rizal was deemed to bring a greater sense of nationalism and idealism to the youth. To support this intention, the schools should keep an adequate number of copies of the works of Jose Rizal, particularly his two renowned novels Noli Me Tangere and El Felibusterismo.

The patriotism asked by the law is not patriotism by mouth and political correctness alone, therefore, Rizal Law is very effective in instilling patriotism among College students because we are encouraged to become a better citizen and when Dr. Rizal said “The Youth is the Hope of the Fatherland” it has impact whoever heard about this to become more responsible and love our country. Through Rizal’s law, the country is hoping to produce citizens who are not only devoted to the country but people whose lives and works are actual contributions to the nation. It aims to produce citizens who are law-abiding, selfless, and socially responsible, all for the sake of the nation. Since Rizal is our national hero, he has contributed much to the current standing of this nation, the youth as well as all the people in the country know about and learn to imbibe the great ideals of freedom and nationalism, for which our heroes lived and died. When we study Rizal Law, we encourage the apply what we learned to deal with our current social, personal problems and issues that we are facing today. Also, to foster the development and betterment of the Filipino youth in all aspects of citizenship.

Name: Jayson Gasal
Age: 22
Address: Iligan City

- Rizal Law for me is one of the effective ways in instilling patriotism among college students because of life, works and writings of Jose Rizal that divulge the Filipino sick society and history. This legislation aid the ignorance of the new generation in relation to our country’s past and present circumstances, also gives a chance for our generation to remember our country’s history. This will enlighten the view of our new generation, and appreciate their own. Aside from having the negative traits, we still have something to be proud of, and this law will help us to discover it.

Name: Sittie Wafah Hadji Said
Age: 20
Address: Iligan city

Rizal’s law, the country is hoping to produce citizens who are not only devoted to the country, but people whose life and works are actual contributions to the nation. It aims to produce citizens who are law-abiding, selfless, and socially responsible, all for the sake of the nation.

The patriotism asked by the law is not patriotism by mouth and political correctness alone. It is not the patriotism exercised by mere activism. It is patriotism taken really for what it is. It’s that patriotism that empowers an individual to think not what is good for himself for today, rather what is good for the nation for that moment and the days to come. These things may not be stated in the Republic Act literally, but all these things are found in the writings of Rizal.

Rizal wanted a Filipino representative in the Spanish Parliament, Filipino Friars, and equal rights between Spaniards and Filipinos. He wanted Filipinos to have a chance to think and to therefore establish what is right and wrong for them as a society.

Name: Charmaine Frietz C.Galindo
Age: 22
Address: Iligan City
