The stakeholders of the Eden Projects

The first major stakeholders of the Eden project are the local people. They are stakeholders as for instance some locals who used to work in the mines are now able to open up shops or B and B’s or other services for the public. The locals can also open up souvenir shops or memorabilia shops which can make them a lot of money. However many locals in areas around the project will be losing money as tourists will only now be drawn to the Eden Project and not to the other tourist attractions in the area. The council of St Austell will certainly benefit as the increased tourism will bring the council more money which will also benefit them

Scientist are also another important stakeholder as they can conduct important research in different climates even though they are only in the wet countryside of Cornwall.

Tourists are also major stakeholders as they are the ones who provide the main source of income for the project whenever they visit or buy anything in the surrounding area. So essentially the tourists are the people who fund the project.
