They ended up starting there own Puritan Church where they thought people there religon. They ended up not having much to do so they went and had a massive witch hunt where they excused people of being witchs. The witch trails were very unfair as the only way to survive was to say you were a witch and you would be forever know as a witch. If you said you weren't a witch then they would either try to drown you to see if you were a witch or not. The issue with this is that they would see if you floated and if you floated then you were a witch, but if you didn't float then you would die.
